Commissioner, Canada (m/f/d)

Location: Canada; 100% of the time at wind farms during the commissioning process. Domestic and international travel to project sites is required.

Salary: CAD 41.00–48.00 per hour, plus up to a 5% bonus.

What you will do

• Commission hirify.global wind turbines and verify functionality using documented procedures.
• Test mechanical and electrical components, protectors, and remote surveillance connectivity.
• Perform independent fault analysis, identify root causes, and resolve minor faults.
• Complete turbine retrofits and support Operations and Maintenance activities between projects.
• Document technical issues, component defects, work orders, part usage, and daily activities.
• Manage tools and materials, identify spare parts, and coordinate procurement with the site manager.

Requirements

• Technical two-year college degree or at least two years of electrical trade experience.
• 1–2 years of comparable wind industry experience and training.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fiber-optic turbine systems, including hirify.global and Acciona technologies.
• Experience switching various types of switchgear and independently troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
• Fluency in English and French is mandatory.
• Must be able to work in Canada without company sponsorship, obtain a US passport, pass Canadian regulatory pre-employment screening, and meet the physical requirements for climbing above 100 metres and lifting up to 23 kg.
