Senior Process Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Christchurch, Dorset, United Kingdom; hybrid working is available, with flexitime and a condensed work week depending on the role.

What you will do

• Develop and refine manufacturing processes from pilot phase through full-scale production.
• Define equipment requirements, evaluate processing techniques, analyze test data, and establish process limits and specifications.
• Support the development and implementation of improved production methods through technical analysis.
• Investigate technical, manufacturing, and customer issues by analyzing in-process rejections and trends.
• Recommend corrective actions and provide procedural guidance to resolve quality and production issues.
• Integrate new product introduction products into manufacturing cells and support total productive maintenance and equipment capacity planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in process development, manufacturing engineering, or production optimization.
• Hands-on experience developing process formulations, defining equipment requirements, and reviewing manufacturing techniques.
• Ability to interpret test data, define process parameters, and evaluate technical issues.
• Knowledge of quality standards, inspection requirements, and corrective action methodologies.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, task management, efficiency, cost-reduction, and continuous-improvement skills.
