What you will do

  • Analyze Terran R vibration, shock, and acoustic environments, including forcing functions, loads, levels, criteria, and product management.
  • Implement and validate dynamics instrumentation and measurement systems with Avionics to capture reliable test and flight data.
  • Support test planning and execution for vibration, shock, and acoustic testing.
  • Develop payload interface vibration, shock, and acoustic levels, coordinating with Mission Management and customers on specification compliance and improvements.
  • Improve analysis processes, hardware and test criteria, and communicate results across the program.
  • Collaborate with responsible engineers to improve hardware reliability, robustness, and simplicity while mentoring junior analysts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working with launch vehicles or rockets.
  • Experience performing vibration, shock, and acoustic analysis on a launch vehicle program.
  • Experience developing dynamic test levels and criteria.
  • Experience with high-speed instrumentation and signal processing.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive dynamics issues to closure across mechanical, fluids, or other engineering domains.

Nice to have

  • Experience developing analysis toolsets and workflows using custom and commercial software.
  • Experience leading anomaly resolutions or failure investigations.
  • Experience working on an engineering analysis team through a full program lifecycle.
