Senior Loads and Dynamics Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in the Greater Seattle Area

Salary: $160,000 – $220,000 annually

What you will do

• Serve as the technical authority for vehicle loads, including quasi-static, transient, and dynamic load cases.
• Establish methods, tools, and standards for the loads and dynamics discipline.
• Build and maintain structural dynamic models (FEM, modal, coupled loads) and reconcile them with test data.
• Define vibration, shock, acoustic, and random-vibe environments for flight hardware.
• Perform coupled loads analysis (CLA) and integrate inputs from propulsion, aero, and GNC teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across structures and mechanisms teams.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual (ITAR compliance).
• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related engineering field.
• 8+ years of experience in loads, structural dynamics, or vibration analysis for flight hardware.
• Deep proficiency with finite element modeling and dynamic analysis.
• Demonstrated ownership of load cases that drove structural design for a flight vehicle.
• Proven ability to correlate models against test or flight data.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Experience with launch vehicles or reusable flight systems.
• Hands-on experience with coupled loads analysis (CLA) campaigns.
• Proficiency with tools such as Adams, LS-DYNA, or equivalent.
• Experience with scripting (Python/MATLAB) for automation.
