Location: Cape Canaveral, Florida, United States; on-site work required at a government partner location

Salary: $122,000–$182,000 USD annually

What you will do

  • Define architectural, structural, heavy civil, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and industrial infrastructure requirements.
  • Manage the development, design, and construction of new launch and test-site infrastructure projects.
  • Develop construction drawings and requests for proposals, evaluate bids, and select subcontractors.
  • Manage subcontractors, field supervision, construction activities, permitting, QA/QC, and safety.
  • Coordinate with infrastructure, fluids, electrical, command and control, mechanical, test, and launch teams.
  • Plan and execute installation and operation of test-site solutions within cost and schedule requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in aerospace or construction, combining hands-on field engineering and project management.
  • Experience with design documentation, construction drawings, bid solicitation, contractor selection, construction management, field supervision, permitting, QA/QC, and safety.
  • Experience with project scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and overall construction management.
  • Experience with architectural, structural, civil, and MEPF design, construction, and operations.
  • Ability to work with 3D models using NX, AutoCAD, or similar CAD programs; ability to travel up to 50%.

Nice to have

  • Experience with development, permitting, land-use controls, conditional-use permits, and local government agencies.
  • Professional Engineer license, advanced engineering or construction training, and aerospace facilities experience.
  • Experience designing, building, or operating aerospace test or launch ground support equipment.
  • Experience with finite element method structural analysis and aerospace safety procedures, including LOTO.
  • Experience working with state and federal government agencies and managing multiple complex projects.
