Desktop Systems Engineer (Windows)

Location: New York City, United States; monthly and holiday coverage visits to the Greenwich, Connecticut office may be required.

Annual base salary: $130,000–$160,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and relevant skills. Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Provide advanced desktop support for Windows, macOS, and Linux environments across corporate offices and remote users.
• Build, configure, deploy, maintain, and upgrade desktops, laptops, virtual machines, mobile devices, and endpoint technologies.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, networking, peripheral, performance, security, and compliance issues.
• Manage user provisioning and deprovisioning, including Active Directory, email, VPN, MFA, permissions, and security groups.
• Support conference room technologies, AV systems, Zoom and Teams rooms, and collaboration platforms.
• Collaborate with networking, security, storage, cloud, and infrastructure teams on projects, escalations, office moves, hardware refreshes, and technology rollouts.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of MEMCM/SCCM administration experience or similar experience.
• Strong experience supporting and configuring Windows 11 workstations and laptops, including hardware components such as display cards and network interface cards.
• Proficiency with BitLocker and MBAM, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Exchange, Apple Business Manager, and AirWatch mobile device management.
• Knowledge of virtualization and desktop services, endpoint security, networking, and enterprise support processes.
• Ability to lift 50–60 lbs and perform desk moves, hardware setups, and equipment changes.
• Strong communication, analytical, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with flexibility for after-hours support, maintenance windows, and on-call rotations.

• Intune management experience.
• macOS or Linux support experience.
• Windows Server and Active Directory support experience.
• Scripting or low-level programming experience.
