IT Engineer

Location: Portland, Oregon; primarily on-site, with hybrid/remote arrangements available and quarterly visits to the Portland office

Salary: $120,000–$160,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Administer Microsoft Intune and JumpCloud for Windows and macOS enrollment, configuration, compliance, and application delivery.
• Architect zero-touch provisioning with Windows Autopilot and Apple Business Manager, and implement secure BYOD workflows.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, SSO, SCIM, and SAML integrations across the SaaS environment.
• Own office technology, including access control, printers, switches, cabling, Wi-Fi, conference rooms, and A/V systems.
• Translate NIST or equivalent compliance requirements into endpoint security baselines, policies, documentation, and remediation processes.
• Escalate complex technical issues, mentor IT Support Specialists, and improve Jira Service Management and Confluence workflows.

Requirements

• Experience administering endpoint management for mixed Windows and macOS environments.
• Experience managing identity and access in a modern identity provider, including user lifecycle, groups, and conditional or context-aware access.
• Practical office networking skills covering switching, Wi-Fi, cabling, patching, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to create clear documentation and convert policies into enforceable technical controls.
• Comfort moving between systems design, security automation, hardware installation, and on-site infrastructure work.
• Ability to work from the Portland office on-site or attend quarterly visits for a hybrid/remote arrangement.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jamf, Okta, Google Workspace, zero trust, SSO provisioning, or endpoint telemetry.
• Experience with NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or equivalent compliance frameworks.
• Experience managing access control, conference room and A/V systems, and office IT vendors.
