Collections Officer - Midnight Team (Fintech)

Location: Remote within the United Kingdom, with attendance at the Cardiff office required 2 days per quarter. The role works Monday–Friday from 3:30pm to midnight. Training runs Monday–Friday, 9am–5:30pm, for the first 4 weeks.

Salary: £27,000–£34,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Engage directly with customers to negotiate fair repayment plans for financial arrears.
• Analyse customers’ financial situations and create tailored repayment solutions.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, FCA, and FDCPA regulations and internal policies.
• Handle complaints, resolve conflicts, and manage difficult customer conversations professionally.
• Prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to support positive customer outcomes.

Requirements

• Collections experience within financial services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage challenging customer interactions.
• Experience using multiple communication platforms, including email and SMS.
• Ability to handle difficult conversations and deliver fair customer outcomes.
• Availability for the stated midnight shift and quarterly attendance at the Cardiff office.
