Senior Hardware Engineer (Power Electronics)

What you will do

• Design complete mixed-signal and power schematics for autonomous drone launcher electronics.
• Lead PCB placement, routing, signal integrity, EMC, and power-path design.
• Define power and thermal architectures, including battery temperature management and approximately 300 W DC/DC conversion.
• Lead board bring-up, debugging, bench testing, and firmware interface validation with embedded software engineers.
• Ensure environmental robustness, electrical safety, mechanical integration, and compliance readiness for outdoor deployment.
• Support component selection, BOM optimization, manufacturer qualification, DFM/DFA reviews, and NPI ramp-up.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience designing and shipping complex PCBs into production.
• Strong PCB schematic and layout skills; Altium Designer is preferred.
• Experience with power electronics, protection, derating, efficiency, thermal budgets, and battery management.
• Knowledge of PoE using IEEE 802.3af/at/bt and mixed-signal interfaces including SPI, I2C, UART, USB, CAN, and Ethernet.
• Proficiency with hardware bring-up and debugging using oscilloscopes, power bench equipment, and other laboratory tools.
• Experience with DFM/DFA, component selection, BOM management, EMC, safety, and manufacturability.
