TL;DR
Hardware Verification Engineer (Cryptography): Building UVM testbenches, Python automation, and formal verification approaches for security-critical cryptographic IPs and subsystems with an accent on rigorous design verification, hardware security, and coverage closure. Focus on proving complex scenarios, debugging waveform-to-algorithm mismatches, leading IP and SoC verification, and driving sign-off quality.

Location: Remote in the UK, Germany, France, Belgium, Austria, the Netherlands, or Spain; occasional travel to offices in Oxford, London, or Paris is required. Visa sponsorship is available for relocation to the UK, the Netherlands, or France.

What you will do

  • Build and extend UVM testbenches for cryptographic IPs and subsystems.
  • Develop Python-based verification tools and automation.
  • Apply formal verification and write properties to prove complex scenarios.
  • Debug issues from low-level waveforms through algorithmic mismatches.
  • Define verification methodologies, plans, coverage models, and test strategies for block and subsystem verification.
  • Lead IP- and SoC-level verification, including estimation, scheduling, task assignment, reporting, coverage closure, and sign-off.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with UVM-based verification at IP and subsystem levels.
  • Proficiency in Python for tool development and automation.
  • Practical formal verification experience beyond application-based use.
  • Knowledge of cryptographic algorithms such as AES, SHA, and ECC, plus hardware and software security concepts.
  • Software-oriented thinking with C, C++, or scripting languages for hardware/software co-verification.
  • Experience planning and executing verification projects, mentoring engineers, and solving complex debugging problems.
