hirify.global is a Paris-based quantum-computing startup developing universal quantum-computing hardware using carbon nanotubes.

What you will do

  • Design RF and microwave architectures for quantum-device control, readout, amplification, and signal routing.
  • Develop filters, amplifiers, mixers, couplers, resonators, attenuators, bias networks, and impedance-matching structures.
  • Design and validate room-temperature and cryogenic signal chains, integrating them with quantum processors, cryostats, PCBs, cables, connectors, and advanced packaging.
  • Perform electromagnetic simulation, link-budget, noise, and signal-integrity analysis; optimize phase noise, gain, linearity, isolation, bandwidth, crosstalk, and thermal loading.
  • Characterize RF systems with laboratory instrumentation and develop calibration, de-embedding, and automated test procedures.
  • Lead technical reviews, define subsystem requirements and acceptance criteria, collaborate across engineering and science teams, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or PhD in electrical engineering, applied physics, quantum engineering, or a related field.
  • Substantial experience designing and testing RF or microwave systems.
  • Strong knowledge of S-parameters, impedance matching, transmission lines, resonators, noise, nonlinearities, and signal integrity.
  • Experience with electromagnetic and circuit-simulation tools such as Ansys HFSS, CST Studio Suite, Keysight ADS, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with RF laboratory instrumentation, measurement techniques, RF PCBs, microwave assemblies, or integrated interconnects.
  • Proficiency with Python, MATLAB, or similar tools, plus the ability to lead complex technical projects and solve multidisciplinary engineering problems.

Nice to have

  • Experience with quantum-computing platforms, qubit control, dispersive readout, or cryogenic systems.
  • Familiarity with cryogenic amplifiers, circulators, isolators, parametric amplifiers, and superconducting microwave devices.
  • Experience with IQ modulation, direct digital synthesis, FPGA-based control, multiplexed readout, or real-time feedback.
  • Understanding of electromagnetic compatibility, packaging effects, thermalization, and magnetic shielding.
  • Experience transitioning RF systems from laboratory prototypes to reliable, scalable products, with technical leadership, patents, publications, or research-program contributions.
