Senior Manufacturing Manager (Defense Electronics)

Location: Santa Clarita, California, United States — onsite

Salary: $120,700–$160,800 per year plus bonus

What you will do

• Lead manufacturing teams across multiple shifts and product lines, developing managers, supervisors, and frontline leaders.
• Translate corporate strategy into operational plans covering production, delivery, cost, capacity, and resource utilization.
• Drive lean transformation, continuous improvement, safety, accountability, and operational discipline.
• Oversee production performance, KPIs, budgets, capital projects, labor efficiency, and operating expenses.
• Lead manufacturing readiness and NPI ramp-ups in partnership with engineering.
• Maintain production systems, traceability, audit readiness, and compliance with aerospace and defense standards.

Requirements

• 10+ years of manufacturing experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role in aerospace, defense, or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience managing high-mix, low-to-medium-volume electronic or mechanical assemblies.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with ERP/MES systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with AS9100, ITAR, Nadcap, DFARS, FAA repair station requirements, and aerospace and defense quality standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, industrial management, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
