Senior Manufacturing Engineer I/II - TPA (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Develop new products and product revisions for Rutherford and Archimedes engines, with primary responsibility for Archimedes turbopump assembly.
• Contribute manufacturing, machining, productivity, and quality expertise to design reviews.
• Design and implement production tooling, equipment, factory layouts, and manufacturing cells.
• Lead value stream mapping, method-of-manufacture planning, equipment selection, FAT, SAT, and production commissioning.
• Develop and document production processes, testing procedures, safety requirements, and approval workflows.
• Lead quality containment, root-cause and corrective-action investigations, and continuous-improvement initiatives using lean tools such as 5S.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, manufacturing engineering, or a similar engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in a heavy-development manufacturing environment for Senior Manufacturing Engineer I, or 8+ years for Senior Manufacturing Engineer II.
• Understanding of fluid and structural mechanics fundamentals.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes for aerospace materials.
• For U.S. office work, eligibility under ITAR export regulations is required, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylum status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.
• Ability to work in a production environment involving prolonged sitting, standing, walking, computer work, and occasional moderate noise, dust, and fumes.

Nice to have

• Advanced engineering degree.
• Experience designing, testing, and developing turbopumps or similar turbomachinery.
• Experience leading design reviews and applying design-for-manufacture, test, and assembly expertise.
• Knowledge of GD&T, inspection methods, capacity modeling, process mapping, Lean/Six Sigma, value stream mapping, 3D CAD, and tooling design.
