Factory Test Technician III (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States. Onsite, second shift, Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. PT. The schedule is structured around a 50-hour workweek with 10 guaranteed overtime hours weekly.

Hiring range: $33.20–$49.80 USD per hour, plus a 10% shift differential.

What you will do

• Lead smaller projects or portions of larger factory testing initiatives and deliver high-quality work on schedule.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex testing issues with minimal oversight.
• Provide technical oversight to technicians and ensure accurate, safe work.
• Mentor and train less experienced technicians on technical tasks and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with engineering and leadership to develop and implement testing processes, hardware, and procedures.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in aerospace testing or a related field, with strong expertise in at least one technical area.
• Independent troubleshooting skills and the ability to develop solutions for complex issues.
• Leadership experience guiding, mentoring, and training technicians.
• Knowledge of materials, seals, and components used in testing, including the ability to explain their technical selection.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, maintain quality, and minimize errors.

Nice to have

• Experience developing and implementing new hardware or processes with engineering teams.
• Experience setting project timelines and managing material and personnel requirements.
• Familiarity with testing-environment hazards and implementation of safety controls.
