Senior Test Technician - A Shift (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Long Beach, California, United States. Monday–Thursday, 5:00am–3:30pm.

Base pay: $30–$45 USD per hour.

What you will do

• Perform functional, bench, vibration, and environmental testing.
• Test electrical and electromechanical assemblies for the Electron Launch Vehicle avionics, Rutherford Rocket Engine, and Photon Satellite Components.
• Operate electrical assembly tools, measuring instruments, vibration tables, thermal environment chambers, and vacuum chambers.
• Test components including radios, space batteries, actuators, network switches, cameras, and transducers.
• Verify that components meet performance, quality, and spaceflight requirements.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in electronic component assembly, preferably in aerospace.
• Experience with bench testing, electrical assembly tools, and measuring instruments.
• Experience with vibration tables, thermal environment chambers, and vacuum chambers.
• High school diploma or GED.
• For U.S. roles, eligibility to access ITAR-regulated technology is required, such as U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylee status, or applicable government authorization.
• Ability to work onsite, stand for at least eight hours, climb ladders, work in tight spaces, and lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted.

Nice to have

• Experience with in-space electrical assemblies and LabVIEW.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and continued product development.
• Experience with Linux, anechoic chambers, or TVAC chambers.
• Industry or trade certification.
