Item Processing Specialist

Location: Fully onsite in Liberty Lake, Washington

Salary: $18.00–$24.50 per hour

What you will do

• Process deposit, loan, general ledger, and item processing transactions using image-based systems.
• Monitor input and output channels, create and track output files, and clear transit work.
• Operate Check 21 scanning equipment and troubleshoot capture issues through phone and email support.
• Prepare cash letters and endpoint summaries for outgoing paper and image transmissions.
• Balance and reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies such as duplicate postings and encoding errors.
• Escalate production issues, perform data entry and uploads, and maintain accurate reporting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2–4 years of banking experience or equivalent experience required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal direction.
• Basic office equipment and 10-key proficiency; PC literacy in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Windows.
• Ability to work flexible hours and comply with banking policies, regulations, and required training.

• Thorough knowledge of check capture software and equipment.
• Related experience or product knowledge.
