What you will do

• Process conventional and government mortgage loan applications according to product, underwriting, investor, and regulatory guidelines.
• Coordinate communication among borrowers, loan officers, realtors, settlement agents, municipalities, internal departments, and other parties.
• Collect and verify employment records, IRS transcripts, title searches, appraisals, bank statements, credit reports, income documentation, and other application materials.
• Analyze loan applications, assess borrower qualification, restructure loans, recommend solutions, and review loan conditions based on underwriter requirements.
• Prepare commitment letters, suspend notices, processing checklists, regulatory documents, and closing documentation.
• Identify risk-related issues and escalate them to management.

Requirements

• Associate degree or two years of equivalent work experience.
• Two to three years of mortgage processing or underwriting experience.
• Strong analytical and mathematical ability to evaluate loan fees, borrower qualifications, and documentation.
• Knowledge of mortgage products, investor requirements, underwriting standards, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, attention to detail, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced mortgage environment.

Nice to have

• Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, email platforms, and Adobe.
• Ability to make sound decisions, adapt to changing policies, and improve processes and workflow.
