Senior Quality Engineering Manager (QA)

What you will do

• Define, lead, and continuously improve quality strategy across the software development lifecycle.
• Oversee QA activities, processes, standards, methodologies, metrics, and testing programs for major or multiple software products and systems.
• Promote and enforce manual and automated testing practices, quality gates, and appropriate test coverage throughout development and deployment.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, architects, and business stakeholders to integrate quality early in the SDLC.
• Identify, communicate, and escalate quality risks; investigate recurring discrepancies and develop corrective actions.
• Lead, mentor, and support quality engineering managers, teams, and testing staff while addressing training and development needs.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, quality engineering principles, application testing, and software quality assurance.
• Experience defining and executing comprehensive test strategies aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum sprint and release cycles, test artifacts, and SDLC processes.
• SQL experience for test validation and data analysis.
• Typically 8+ years of industry experience and at least 5 years of prior management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or a comparable combination of education, certifications, and experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with automation testing frameworks and tools, including Selenium.
• Experience leading or scaling quality engineering practices in Agile or DevOps environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build and deployment processes.
• Experience with controls testing, test case development, usability testing, and artificial intelligence.
