What you will do

• Install, relocate, reconstruct, repair, and rebuild machines and major site equipment.
• Repair, modify, and replace test loops as part of day-to-day maintenance.
• Perform preventive maintenance, including laser alignment.
• Machine repair parts and operate lathes, milling machines, boring mills, and other machinist equipment.
• Use hand tools, power tools, material-handling equipment, hoists, precision levels, monitoring equipment, instrumentation, and pressure gauges.
• Work with conventional and numerical-controlled machine tools, boilers, pumps, structural steel, and metal-joining materials.

Requirements

• High school graduation plus completion of a four-year Mechanic Millwright Apprenticeship or a two-year Associate Degree in Mechanical Technology.
• Four years of experience in Mechanic Millwright repair.
• Prior machining experience with equipment such as lathes, milling machines, or boring mills.
• US citizenship is required due to Department of Defense requirements.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
