What you will do

• Lay out, wind, connect, assemble, and repair complex stators, rotors, coils, and related electrical machinery.
• Prepare and apply potting and insulation compounds, including baking, surface preparation, and final treatment.
• Perform brazing, terminal and bus bar connections, specialized production wiring, and assembly of components such as shunts, copper fins, thermocouples, and RTDs.
• Review drawings, specifications, procedures, tolerances, tools, fixtures, and equipment requirements before starting assignments.
• Operate, edit, and prove out machine programs using conversational or teach modes; maintain machine condition and perform basic error recovery.
• Inspect and measure completed work, record quality data, follow safety and FOD requirements, and maintain a clean work area.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required due to DoD requirements.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least five years of experience in design or manufacturing.
• Qualification in brazing, along with strong attention to detail, communication skills, and learning agility.
• Ability to handle light parts manually; cranes are available for heavier work.

• Coursework in Electrical Power Engineering, Power Electronics, or Electrical Machines.
