Manual Machinist

Location: Hatfield, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite. Working hours aligned with EST.

Wage: $26.00–$32.00 per hour

hirify.global EST Group develops and manufactures engineered products and repair services for shell and tube heat exchangers, condensers, coolers, chillers, and pressure-testing applications.

What you will do

• Set up and operate engine lathes, manual mills, turret lathes, and benchtop lathes for small-batch production.
• Select and adjust tooling, set up milling fixtures with indexers and vices using DRO, and grind tooling for simple profiles.
• Machine carbon steel, stainless steel, plastics, and special alloys to precision dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance and assist with minor to moderate equipment repairs.
• Log labor in ERP software and complete shop travelers in accordance with ISO standards.
• Inspect machined parts using calipers, micrometers, thread gages, and an optical comparator.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant machinist experience.
• Manual mill and lathe experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, process worksheets, and family-of-parts tables.
• Ability to set up, operate, maintain, and prove out machine setups while meeting quality and efficiency standards.
• Basic arithmetic and geometry skills, with a commitment to health, safety, product quality, and Lean Manufacturing.

• Basic knowledge of sheet metal and CNC equipment.
• GD&T knowledge.
• Career Readiness Certificate at Silver or Gold level.
• Certified Process Owner certification.
