Fullstack Software Engineer (AI)

Location: California, United States; remote work from home with occasional visits to the main office for group events and in-person collaboration. San Diego employees work in a hybrid setup.

Salary: $152,000–$179,000 per year base salary, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Deliver well-structured software features end to end with minimal supervision.
• Solve moderately complex technical problems across frontend and backend systems.
• Build an understanding of core system components and contribute to service enhancements.
• Participate in code reviews, pair with colleagues, and mentor junior engineers.
• Develop customer-focused features that improve clinical-trial workflows.
• Learn and apply both TypeScript and Python across different assignments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience delivering scalable software products using SaaS architectures.
• Strong skills in TypeScript or Python and willingness to become proficient in both.
• Experience with React, HTML, CSS, Node, Docker, microservices, and RESTful services.
• Experience designing relational schemas and working with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Exposure to event-driven systems or message queues and cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent training experience; strong communication, independent-working, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with UV, Vite, Redis Cache, Postgres, Express, or Inversify.
• Exposure to AI/LLM concepts, Microsoft Office Add-in development, or clinical trials and regulated healthcare.
