FPGA Developer

Location: Chicago, United States

Annual base salary: $225,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and relevant skills. Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy proprietary software for ultra-low-latency and fully automated trading strategies.
• Build complex algorithmic trading systems and low-level data-processing optimizations.
• Develop exchange protocol adapters and robust inter-application communication mechanisms.
• Analyze and tune system performance.
• Collaborate with technologists, quantitative researchers, traders, and experienced engineers to balance speed, features, and cost.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related engineering discipline, with graduation expected between December 2026 and June 2027; Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD accepted.
• Proficiency in modern SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL and C, C++, or Python.
• Experience with data processing and algorithm development in RTL.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and programming fundamentals.
• Clear logical thinking, effective communication, and the ability to advocate for technical ideas in a collaborative environment.
