Senior FPGA Engineer

What you will do

• Design and verify RTL modules for FPGA applications.
• Own FPGA designs from architecture trade-offs and sizing estimates through implementation, verification, and hardware bring-up.
• Lead testing and bring-up of custom FPGA circuit cards, including validation of memory interfaces, Ethernet controllers, and integrated sensors.
• Automate test environments, lab equipment, measurement devices, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Document design trade-offs, state-machine flows, system address maps, and block diagrams.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering team to develop embedded processing solutions for RF applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in FPGA design, implementation, and testing.
• Extensive experience with FPGA and embedded processing designs on embedded hardware.
• Experience with Xilinx and Intel FPGA devices and toolsets including Vivado and Quartus.
• Knowledge of SPI, I2C, UART, AXI, and AXI-Stream protocols, as well as ARM or GPU-based embedded applications.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. export authorizations under ITAR.

Nice to have

• Experience with TCL, Python, Perl, Matlab, UVM, and SystemVerilog.
• Experience with high-speed Verilog/VHDL designs, DDR4, HBM, SerDes, 100GE, JESD204B, and Interlaken.
• Experience implementing DSP algorithms on FPGAs using Matlab, Simulink, or HDL Coder.
• Experience developing SoC designs combining HDL with embedded Linux.
• Active Secret or Top Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
