TL;DR
Lead Material Planner, Supply Chain Lifecycle Management (Aerospace Manufacturing): Managing supply planning impacts from engineering changes, BOM revisions, and configuration updates across jet propulsion manufacturing with an accent on inventory protection, revision control, and supply continuity. Focus on sequencing part transitions, identifying long-lead and open-PO risks, and coordinating procurement, engineering, configuration management, and operations through ECO/ECN implementation.

Location: hirify.global facility in Cincinnati, Ohio; Knoxville, Tennessee; or Centennial, Colorado. U.S. Citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance are required.

Salary: $118,000–$148,000 base salary per year.

What you will do

  • Own supply-planning impact assessments for engineering changes affecting purchased and manufactured parts.
  • Translate engineering and configuration decisions into effectivity dates, cut-in/cut-out points, and phase-in/phase-out plans.
  • Coordinate disposition of superseded, obsolete, and excess inventory, including rework, scrap, and supplier returns.
  • Review BOMs, part revisions, routings, and MRP planning parameters across engineering changes and new product introductions.
  • Identify supply risks involving long-lead components, sole-source constraints, open purchase orders, and transition inventory.
  • Track ECOs and ECNs through the change calendar and provide status and risk visibility for S&OP and change control board reviews.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in supply planning, materials planning, or configuration/change management in manufacturing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of ECO, ECN, and ECR processes and their impact on BOMs, routings, and part masters.
  • Experience with MRP, ERP, or PLM systems such as ION, SAP, Oracle, Windchill, or Arena, including part revision control.
  • Strong attention to detail, Excel skills, and the ability to trace changes across linked BOM levels.
  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.

Nice to have

  • Experience in hardware, aerospace manufacturing, or assembly.
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge or APICS/CPIM, CSCP, or Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Knowledge of ISO/AS9100 standards, MRP principles, lead-time management, safety-stock calculation, and supply chain KPIs.
  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience in a startup or scaling manufacturing environment.
