Senior Planner (Manufacturing)

Location: Beverly, Massachusetts, United States. The role is performed in the US and requires proof of US citizenship, permanent US residency, or protected-individual status under U.S. export-control regulations. Travel: 0–25%. Physical requirements: 80% sitting, 20% standing, 100% indoors.

Annual base salary: $57,000–$139,000. Total compensation may also include restricted stock units and quarterly bonuses.

What you will do

• Develop master production schedules and monthly production plans aligned with customer demand, capacity, sales forecasts, and inventory targets.
• Lead the cross-functional monthly SIOP cycle, including unit, inventory, and revenue accuracy and closed-loop validation.
• Generate production plans for Make to Stock, Assemble to Order, and Engineer to Order models, including buffer-stock programs.
• Issue manufacturing releases and purchasing requisitions, and ensure correctness of MPS/MRP outputs and item attributes in the ERP system.
• Monitor forecasts, customer demand, production starts and completions, lead times, delivery performance, inventory turns, weeks on hand, and inventory-reduction initiatives.
• Lead the local Demand Planning Team and coordinate with Marketing, Purchasing, Operations, Finance, Sales, Customer Service, Supplier Operations, Product Line Management, and senior management.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in a materials or supply-chain environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in materials, supply chain, or a related field, and/or equivalent experience preferred.
• Full working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems; Microsoft Dynamics AX experience preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing and JIT techniques.
• Hands-on knowledge of BOM, ECO, and PLM process flow and execution.
• Strong capability to manage customer and internal stakeholder expectations.
• Full working knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, and materials control.
• Experience managing and planning in a machine-shop environment is required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing requirements, communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and maintain strong relationships with internal and external parties.
• Ability to pursue learning and development opportunities for key employees.
