Automation Engineer (Industrial Automation)

Location: Pune, India. International travel is part of the role.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and commission automation systems for tissue machine deliveries, including new facilities, rebuilds, and service assignments.
• Drive automation delivery across global projects from planning and coordination through implementation and continuous improvement.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams covering electrical engineering, hydraulics, pneumatics, and software.
• Collaborate with customers, project management, and technical experts across project activities.
• Support commissioning and startup activities at customer sites.
• Improve working methods and contribute to project-related development work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Experience with electrical system design and documentation.
• Knowledge of industrial communication networks and control systems integration.
• Experience with engineering documentation tools.
• Strong industrial automation and electrical engineering expertise, including multidisciplinary customer projects.
• Effective written and oral communication skills in English are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global DNA or equivalent DCS/PLC platforms.
• Experience with HMI, SCADA, drive systems, and motion control applications.
• Knowledge of machine safety standards, risk assessment, and functional safety.
• Experience with Profinet, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, or OPC UA.
• AutoCAD Electrical or CMSE certification.
