Hiring range: $130,000–$194,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Lead and scale avionics environmental test operations supporting Terran R development and production.
• Oversee daily vibration, shock, and thermal laboratory operations for launch-critical avionics hardware.
• Ensure efficient execution of qualification test procedures and acceptance test procedures.
• Develop and guide a growing team of test technicians and specialists.
• Drive lab scheduling, asset utilization, test readiness, process standardization, and operational improvement.
• Partner with Avionics Design, Manufacturing, Integration, Quality, and Test Engineering teams to support safe testing and program milestones.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 6+ years of experience in environmental testing, manufacturing operations, or aerospace production environments, including leadership or management experience.
• Strong understanding of vibration, shock, and thermal testing of aerospace or avionics hardware.
• Experience supporting qualification and acceptance testing for flight hardware using structured test procedures and specifications.
• Experience with lab operations, production support, scheduling coordination, cross-functional execution, and process standardization.
• Strong communication and organizational skills for coordination across engineering, manufacturing, integration, and executive teams.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with SMC-S-016, MIL-STD-1540, DO-160, or similar aerospace environmental test standards.
• Experience with production-rate environmental screening and acceptance testing of avionics hardware.
• Understanding of instrumentation, data acquisition systems, fixturing, and test setup development.
• Experience with AS9100 quality systems and controlled test documentation.
• Experience scaling environmental test capabilities for rapidly growing aerospace programs.
