Salary: $112,000–$159,000 USD per year

What you will do

  • Collaborate with design, test, quality, and technician teams to improve the manufacturability and assembly of avionics components and wire harnesses.
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, equipment, assembly procedures, work instructions, and manufacturing plans.
  • Design and manufacture vibration test fixtures, thermal heat sinks, and thermal-vacuum fixtures.
  • Perform hands-on assembly, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of avionics systems.
  • Investigate manufacturing issues through root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Review supplier manufacturing processes and contribute to design reviews, quality control, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in aerospace or avionics.
  • Strong understanding of avionics systems, electronics manufacturing processes, assembly techniques, and relevant IPC standards.
  • Experience with CAD software such as Siemens NX for design reviews and manufacturing documentation.
  • Understanding of SMC-S-016 and experience with root cause analysis.
  • Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing under U.S. export-control regulations.

Nice to have

  • Experience testing and troubleshooting avionics systems.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills and attention to detail.
