Integration Engineer, Environmental Test (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite role

Salary: $112,300–$195,500 USD annually, depending on level and qualifications.

What you will do

• Plan, schedule, coordinate, direct, and execute vehicle integration and functional tests.
• Enable day-to-day integration and test flow for complex space station systems.
• Define and manage test plans, requirements, procedures, and schedules with distributed engineering organizations.
• Develop, qualify, and refine manufacturing and assembly processes for safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery.
• Act as test director, provide status updates, and lead handoffs and coordination meetings.
• Document non-conformances, determine resolutions, and implement root-cause corrective actions with the quality team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, aerospace, electrical, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of related engineering experience; 6+ years preferred for the senior level.
• Hands-on experience with hardware integration and testing.
• Experience writing test plans and procedures and providing go/no-go judgments with rationale.
• Ability to travel up to 20%, work evenings or weekends during critical mission milestones, and lift up to 25 lbs unassisted.
• Must be a U.S. person under applicable U.S. export-control rules or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing.

Nice to have

• Experience building, assembling, integrating, or testing complex assemblies and systems.
• Familiarity with Linux and Python environments.
• Experience planning and executing vehicle-level verification, leak checks, or environmental tests.
• Ability to make independent judgments with limited information and adapt to changing priorities.
