Design Specialist (Interior Design)

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States. Onsite store role with weekend and holiday availability required; includes in-home consultations and off-site meetings.

Salary: $22.00–$23.00 per hour, plus uncapped commission, performance-based bonus, and possible geographic premium, incentive, and equity awards.

What you will do

• Deliver personalized design consultations and furnishing solutions that meet client needs.
• Drive sales and achieve revenue, conversion, retention, and other KPI targets.
• Build relationships with clients, trade professionals, and the local design community.
• Guide product selection, space planning, and styling using interior design expertise.
• Manage the client lifecycle through CRM tools and outreach strategies.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards, develop product knowledge, and conduct in-home consultations.

Requirements

• Professional experience in design and sales, with a passion for modern interiors.
• Experience in retail sales, design consulting, or customer success preferred.
• Background in interior design, architecture, or a related field preferred.
• Skills in client needs assessment, problem-solving, and relationship building.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and design tools such as SketchUp or AutoCAD.
• Ability to lift over 40 pounds and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
