Manager, Project Designer (Interior Design)

Salary: $76,469.40–$89,964.00 per year

What you will do

• Serve as the primary design contact for assigned client accounts and implement workplace strategies, standards, and process documentation.
• Create test fits, space layouts, workplace options, and space-efficiency proposals aligned with client business needs and corporate real estate goals.
• Collaborate with real estate strategists, project managers, occupancy planners, move managers, clients, and other corporate real estate partners.
• Review design concepts and preliminary space plans for functionality, aesthetics, safety, public health, and applicable code compliance.
• Specify colors, materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and millwork, including layouts and product descriptions for procurement.
• Manage project reporting, CAFM data, documentation, concurrent projects, and the training and development of design talent.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture or interior design from an accredited institution.
• 5–8 years of experience in interior design, architecture, space planning, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Required proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit, CAFM platforms, and Microsoft Office is beneficial or expected to be developed.
• Experience with programming and space planning, architectural and engineering drawings, construction documents, office furniture systems, and corporate real estate design.
• Strong organization, documentation, analytical, presentation, communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to direct concurrent projects, work independently and collaboratively, build partner relationships, and meet deadlines.

Nice to have

• NCIDQ certification.
• Experience with Revit and client-specific CAFM systems such as Serraview, Manhattan, Center Stone, Planon, or Archibus.
• Ability to learn new graphic software for design presentations.
