Delivery Lead (contract)

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of a high-profile central government digital or data project.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams and create conditions for effective collaboration and high performance.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies, remove blockers, and embed continuous improvement practices.
• Manage delivery risks, dependencies, budgets, financials, and competing priorities across multiple workstreams.
• Engage senior client stakeholders, providing transparent reporting on progress, risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Work with Product Managers to prioritise backlogs and deliver user-centred services aligned with government standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading agile delivery on complex digital or data programmes, preferably in central government or the wider public sector.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholder relationships.
• Knowledge of Agile, delivery planning, risk and dependency management, budgets, and multiple workstreams.
• Experience with government governance and assurance processes, delivery phases, and GDS service standards.
• Understanding of user-centred services, accessibility, usability, inclusive design, metrics, and continuous improvement.
• Must qualify for UK Security Clearance (SC) and be able to work remotely from the UK.

Nice to have

• Experience working in a consultancy environment.
• Knowledge of UK Government Digital Service standards.
• Exposure to data governance, data architecture, or data platforms.
