CNC Machinist - Second Shift (Machine Shop)

Location: South Burlington, Vermont, United States; onsite, second shift

Salary: $27–$38 per hour

Develop electric aircraft and manufacture complex aerospace components in-house with a focus on sustainable aviation.

What you will do

• Interpret engineered drawings and CAD models.
• Program CAM software for low-volume, complex parts.
• Design fixtures and tooling for CNC manufacturing.
• Set up and operate CNC machines.
• Analyze manufacturability questions and collaborate with design engineers.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and conformance.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of CNC machining experience.
• Required experience with 5-axis programming, CNC programming and operation, fixture design, machine setup, and manual machining.
• Experience working in an R&D environment.
• Experience with CAM programming; Fusion 360 experience is preferred.
• Ability and willingness to work the second shift.
• Ability to work four 10-hour shifts from 3:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. or five 8-hour shifts.

Nice to have

• Experience with Okuma, HAAS, CR Onsrud, or DMG Mori machines.
• Experience with Fusion 360 CAM software.
