Senior Machinist (Nuclear Manufacturing)

Location: Middleburg Heights, Ohio, United States; onsite manufacturing position in the greater Cleveland area.

Salary: $30–$32 per hour; sign-on bonus available.

What you will do

• Set up, operate, and adjust manual, numerically controlled, and computerized machine shop equipment.
• Manufacture and inspect detailed parts and tools from blueprints, sketches, process sheets, and verbal instructions.
• Run parts on manual lathes and Brown and Sharpe single-spindle automatic machines.
• Use micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other measuring tools to perform dimensional inspections.
• Troubleshoot machining processes to reduce variability and improve throughput.
• Verify product quality and follow shop and machine safety procedures.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a similar machinist role.
• Manual machine experience is required.
• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred.
• Experience with stainless steels and high-temperature alloys.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as business needs require.

Nice to have

• Brown and Sharpe single-spindle machine experience.
• PC skills and lift truck experience.
