Welding Supervisor

Salary: $95,000–$126,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across machining and welding fabrication processes.
• Evaluate and recommend manufacturing technologies, tooling, and capital expenditures.
• Develop project plans, supervise new equipment setup and implementation, and instruct personnel in proper use.
• Track project impact and KPIs related to cost, quality, throughput, and ROI.
• Support executive-level lean manufacturing planning and lead engineering teams through process changes.
• Administer the welder workmanship program and ensure adherence to quality and documentation procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
• At least 10 years of hands-on welding application engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Oxyacetylene Hardsurfacing, PTA, GTA x-ray quality structure and seal welding, laser welding, and electron beam welding.
• Knowledge of mechanical principles, machining, metals, metallurgy, heat treatment, brazing, critical weld joints, and hard-surfacing deposits.
• BSME or equivalent mechanical or industrial technology education and experience; CAD/CAM experience required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen. Working with export-controlled information may require additional security screening.

Nice to have

• Mastercam CAD/CAM Software version X4 or greater with solid modeling.
• Working knowledge of DNC server systems and Microsoft Office applications.
