Loan Support Specialist I

Salary: $18.00–$30.00 per hour, with potential performance-based incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Service consumer, small business, SBA, and commercial loans, including maintenance, payment processing, data entry, document creation, lien perfection, escrow and tax support, flood review, and general ledger reconciliation.
• Process moderate to complex loan transactions and verify required documentation against workflows, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Respond to internal and external customer requests with accurate and timely service.
• Capture workflow metrics and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate work status, meet assigned deadlines, and help redistribute incomplete work when needed.
• Cross-train, coach, mentor, or train colleagues as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of consumer, SBA, commercial, or business loan experience, or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of loan products, lending documentation, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to frequent workflow changes in a high-volume, service-oriented environment.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency with computer software, including Word, Excel, loan servicing systems, and office equipment.

Nice to have

• Associate’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field.
