What you will do
- Own the Polish entity's monthly close and general ledger, including remediation of 2024, 2025, and H1 2026 historical records.
- Prepare statutory financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Perform bank and subledger reconciliations, multi-currency revaluation across PLN, EUR, GBP, and USD, and multi-entity consolidation adjustments.
- File monthly JPK-V7 VAT returns through KSeF and prepare annual CIT returns with transfer pricing documentation.
- Account for the VASP active period and wind-down period, identify attributable costs, and design cost-allocation and intercompany invoicing frameworks.
- Build internal controls, documentation standards, AP/AR processes, fixed-asset schedules, and a repeatable monthly close process while coordinating with Finance, Treasury, Legal, Compliance, Tax, authorities, auditors, and the outgoing provider.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years owning an in-house general ledger.
- Fluent Polish, written and spoken, is required for accounting, tax authority communication, and audit coordination.
- Strong knowledge of Polish accounting law, JPK-V7/VAT compliance, CIT filing, and transfer pricing documentation.
- Experience validating or remediating outsourced accounting records, designing intercompany cost allocation, and performing multi-entity consolidation.
- Working knowledge of IFRS or Polish statutory accounting with IFRS exposure, multi-currency accounting, regulated finance, and an accounting or ERP system such as SAP, NetSuite, or Exact Online.
Nice to have
- Polish professional qualification, preferably Biegły Rewident, or ACCA/CPA with Polish accounting experience.
- Experience participating in statutory audits as the preparer.
- Systems-level KSeF integration experience.
