Accountant (Cryptocurrency)

What you will do

• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities under IFRS and applicable local accounting requirements.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments, accounting adjustments, and maintain complete general ledger records.
• Prepare bank, intercompany, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other balance sheet reconciliations.
• Investigate discrepancies and aged reconciling items, and support monthly management accounts and financial reporting packages.
• Assist with statutory financial statements, tax and regulatory reporting, audit schedules, and interim and annual audits.
• Support accounting process improvements and cross-border transactions across multiple entities; experienced candidates may own assigned entities or reporting areas and guide junior colleagues.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Good working knowledge of IFRS and fundamental accounting principles.
• Hands-on experience with month-end closing, general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and statutory audits.
• Strong Excel, analytical, problem-solving, accuracy, prioritization, and deadline-management skills.
• Good written and spoken English, with the ability to work with stakeholders across functions and locations.

Nice to have

• CPA, CA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification, or progress toward one.
• Oracle NetSuite or another major ERP system.
• Multi-entity, multinational, financial services, fintech, digital asset, cryptocurrency, or Big Four experience.
• Familiarity with blockchain transactions, crypto wallets, digital asset accounting, or UAE accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements.
• Mandarin language capability.
