What you will do

• Develop, validate, and refine test assets and processes for mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Lead integrated mechanism and assembly testing, including tooling, test sequencing, mBOM development, work orders, training, and specifications.
• Provide technical leadership for workcenter development, assembly and test operations, safety compliance, tooling, and capital equipment.
• Support shop-floor and production personnel by resolving test issues and providing design-for-manufacturability, testability, and reparability feedback.
• Analyze test data, identify recurring discrepancies, lead root-cause investigations, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with design, production, supply chain, and quality teams to execute scalable manufacturing test processes.

Requirements

• BS degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing engineering, or a related discipline, plus 5+ years of experience building and testing hardware in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience authoring test procedures for mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic assemblies.
• Experience partnering with design, manufacturing, and production teams to execute tests and investigate failures and anomalies.
• Experience designing, implementing, and managing large-scope test systems and process improvements with minimal oversight.
• Expert knowledge of safety standards, common test hazards, and appropriate mitigations.
• Hands-on experience in at least two areas including pneumatic or electromechanical assembly, functional checkouts, integrated testing, leak checking, sensor checkouts, high-voltage systems, high-pressure pneumatics, or instrumentation.

Nice to have

• Experience defining testing processes and delivering testing projects in fast-paced production environments.
• Knowledge of rocket subsystems and experience planning hazardous aerospace hardware operations.
• Knowledge of industry test standards such as SMC-S-016, MIL-STD-1540D, or MIL-STD-810G.
• Experience with test automation, data acquisition and control systems, electrical test equipment, or pressure test equipment.
