Manufacturing Engineer II - Assembly & Integration (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States. For U.S. offices, ITAR regulations require U.S. citizenship, lawful U.S. permanent residency, refugee or asylum status, or eligibility to obtain the required government authorizations.

Base pay range: $100,000–$125,000 USD per year. Level and compensation depend on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

What you will do

• Prepare manufacturing feasibility studies and conduct manufacturing technology research and development projects.
• Partner with design engineering to apply design-for-manufacturing principles and improve product robustness at scale.
• Design, procure, install, validate, and support assembly, testing, and verification processes for production factories.
• Support development builds, production ramps, and production lines by removing blockers, improving yield, and increasing build efficiency.
• Investigate failures, perform technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis, and define risk-mitigation and corrective actions.
• Drive process, change-management, business-system, manufacturing, testing, and integration improvements with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of technical experience in manufacturing, production, or process engineering.
• Hands-on experience solving problems in complex manufacturing systems.
• Ability to deliver complex assignments with autonomy.
• Foundational knowledge of complex manufacturing processes.
• U.S. office candidates must meet applicable ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with environmental or production acceptance testing, including vibration, shock, thermal, and vacuum testing.
• Knowledge of instrumentation, interfaces, sensors, power supplies, oscilloscopes, serial devices, switch topologies, accelerometers, thermocouples, RTDs, and 4–20 mA sensors.
• Experience designing, implementing, or supporting production lines and build areas.
• Experience transitioning products from design to production in fast-paced, iterative environments.
• Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, Pareto analysis, root-cause analysis, and corrective action.
