Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer (Aerospace)

Salary: $126,700–$158,400 base pay annually

What you will do

• Develop and execute functional test strategies for aircraft systems from prototype builds through early production.
• Define test requirements and system coverage with Manufacturing, Design Engineering, Quality, and Flight Test.
• Develop automated test solutions to improve quality, repeatability, and throughput.
• Perform functional testing in laboratory environments and on aircraft during build and integration cycles.
• Analyze test data, identify failures and trends, perform root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
• Interpret electrical and system schematics and develop scalable test processes, documentation, and standard work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in aerospace or complex-system testing, manufacturing engineering, or integration environments.
• Hands-on experience testing electrical and software-integrated systems.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and aviation-specific test systems.
• Experience with data analysis and scripting, including Python or similar tools, for test automation and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with FAA Part 21 and Part 145, DO-178C, DO-254, and AS9100; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with type certification, STC, or PMA processes.
• Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing principles and automated manufacturing systems.
• Experience in eVTOL, aerospace startups, or rapidly evolving production environments.
• Leadership or mentorship experience with junior engineers or technicians.
