What you will do
- Develop and execute functional test strategies for aircraft systems from prototype builds through early production.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Design, Quality, and Flight Test teams to define test requirements and coverage.
- Develop and implement automated test solutions to improve quality, repeatability, and throughput.
- Execute functional testing in lab environments and on-aircraft during integration cycles.
- Analyze test data to identify trends and perform root-cause analysis for corrective actions.
- Ensure full compliance with FAA regulations and aerospace quality standards throughout testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 4+ years of experience in aerospace or complex system test and manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on experience with functional testing of electrical and software-integrated systems.
- Proficiency with test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and spectrum analyzers.
- Experience with Python or similar scripting for test automation and troubleshooting.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting type certification, STC, or PMA processes.
- Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
- Experience in fast-paced aerospace startups or eVTOL environments.
- Leadership or mentorship experience guiding junior engineers.
