Salary: $36.80–$55.20 USD per hour

What you will do

  • Lead hands-on environmental testing operations for Terran R avionics development and production hardware.
  • Execute qualification and acceptance test procedures covering vibration, shock, and thermal testing.
  • Set up, instrument, operate, troubleshoot, and tear down vibration tables, shock systems, and thermal chambers.
  • Configure data acquisition systems and instrumentation, including accelerometers and thermocouples.
  • Support test readiness, fixture setup, hardware integration, and configuration control.
  • Organize and communicate test data while collaborating with test engineering, avionics, manufacturing, and quality teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience supporting environmental testing in aerospace, defense, electronics, or other high-reliability hardware environments.
  • Independent experience executing acceptance testing and environmental test procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Strong understanding of vibration, shock, and thermal testing operations, instrumentation, and hardware handling.
  • Experience operating thermal chambers, vibration systems, accelerometers, thermocouples, and data acquisition systems.
  • Ability to interpret test procedures, engineering drawings, schematics, and hardware requirements.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and root-cause investigation skills.

Nice to have

  • Engineering degree.
  • Experience with aerospace flight hardware qualification testing.
  • Familiarity with SMC-S-016, MIL-STD-1540, DO-160, or similar aerospace standards.
  • Experience with development and production-rate environmental testing.
  • Experience with test scheduling, MES/ERP systems, or digital test documentation workflows.
