Location: Los Angeles, United States; in-person collaboration at the Playa Vista office

Salary: $135K–$175K annual base salary

hirify.global is a fast-growing aerospace startup that manufactures satellite buses at scale using software, vertical integration, and manufacturing-focused hardware.

What you will do

  • Develop, execute, and manage environmental test plans, procedures, protocols, and requirements.
  • Conduct vibration and shock, thermal cycling and TVAC, EMI/EMC, pneumatic pressure, production, and qualification testing.
  • Scope, purchase, configure, operate, and maintain environmental test equipment such as vibration shakers and thermal chambers.
  • Analyze test data, interpret results, and prepare comprehensive test reports.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues across spacecraft systems and test equipment while collaborating with production, design, and quality assurance.
  • Improve testing processes and provide technical guidance to engineers and technicians.

Requirements

  • U.S. Persons status is required to access export-controlled data.
  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of environmental testing experience within the aerospace industry.
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace testing standards and regulations, including MIL-STD-461, GSFC-STD-7000, SMC-S-016, and MIL-STD-810.
  • Experience operating and maintaining environmental testing equipment and using instrumentation such as thermocouples, accelerometers, and data acquisition systems.
  • Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.

Nice to have

  • Certification in relevant aerospace standards.
  • Avionics functional or pneumatic pressure testing experience.
  • Programming experience with Python or LabVIEW.
  • Experience scaling environmental testing to high production rates.
  • Knowledge of data acquisition and analysis software.
