Focus on troubleshooting turbine malfunctions, maintaining safe working practices at height, mentoring trainees, and supporting projects requiring travel across the United States, Canada, and occasionally internationally.

Location: United States of America; the role may be based at various locations across the United States. Frequent travel within the United States and to Canada, with occasional international travel, is required. Travel may reach 100%.

Salary: $55,000–$65,000 per year, depending on location, experience, skills, certifications, and business needs.

What you will do

  • Support offshore wind turbine pre-assembly in accordance with safety guidelines, project requirements, work instructions, and industry standards.
  • Monitor work packages and report turbine-related issues according to company procedures.
  • Maintain and promote site safety procedures.
  • Advise small and medium-sized contractor teams on pre-assembly tasks and effective use of team competencies.
  • Provide troubleshooting guidance for electrical, mechanical, and system malfunctions.
  • Mentor trainees, share technical knowledge, provide feedback, and support on-the-job training.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of related experience.
  • Hands-on experience with wind turbine installation, including slinging, signaling, mechanical completion, retrofit, and snagging work.
  • Strong health and safety focus, including experience with safe systems of work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, work at height, climb, perform physical work, and operate in adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently within the United States and Canada and occasionally internationally, with a flexible schedule of up to 100% travel.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Nice to have

  • Recognized qualification or knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems and isolation procedures.
  • High IT literacy, including digital technology, communication tools, and networks.
