What you will do
- Assemble, strip, and reuse small gas turbine components according to engineering specifications.
- Perform mechanical fitting on rotating equipment using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
- Operate lifting equipment and fixtures safely during component assembly.
- Record build figures and production data accurately.
- Maintain quality, safety, and 5S workplace standards while identifying process improvements and collaborating with supporting departments.
Requirements
- Recognized Level 3 apprenticeship in a relevant mechanical engineering discipline.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent technical certificate in mechanical engineering.
- Relevant industry experience in a mechanical fitting role, preferably with rotating equipment.
- Proficiency with precision measuring equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail, teamwork, problem-solving skills, and commitment to safety and quality control.
