Automation Engineer (Siemens/Rockwell)

Location: Must be based in the UK or Ireland; involves up to 40% travel to customer sites in the UK, Ireland, and North Europe

What you will do

• Develop and modify control systems, including writing PLC code and configuring HMI systems.
• Perform simulations, commissioning, servicing, and debugging of automation systems.
• Manage network infrastructure, PI systems, recipe systems, and SQL databases.
• Define project specifications, budgets, and timelines in collaboration with clients and managers.
• Prepare technical documentation for Internal Tests and Customer Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
• Collaborate with account managers to create cost-effective quotations based on customer requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in automation, electrical/electronic engineering, or process control.
• At least 4 years of experience with processing area automation systems.
• English: Fluent (written and spoken) is required.
• Full driving license.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Experience with Siemens and/or Rockwell PLCs.
• Experience with AVEVA and/or Ignition SCADA systems.
• Previous experience in the food or dairy industry.
• Knowledge of Industrial switches, Servers, Visual Basic, SQL, and VMware.
