Propulsion Technician II (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States. Second shift, Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Pacific Time.

Hiring range: $28.90–$40.80 USD per hour, plus a 10% shift differential. The role is structured around a 50-hour workweek with 10 guaranteed overtime hours each week.

What you will do

• Assemble and test Aeon-R engine components, sub-assemblies, and complete engines.
• Perform precision cleaning, hydrostatic proof testing, pneumatic leak checks, and flow testing.
• Support component assembly, component testing, and engine assembly processes.
• Help create and refine robust manufacturing processes for propulsion hardware.
• Collaborate across engineering and manufacturing teams on hardware iterations and process improvements.

Requirements

• Experience working with engines, primarily engine components.
• Familiarity with the architecture and nomenclature of gas-generator-cycle engines.
• Experience with high-pressure fluid-system development and testing.
• Familiarity with electrical and mechanical system integration.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and engineering drawings.
• Strong technical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Experience transitioning products from development into high-volume production.
