Propulsion Test Technician III - A Shift (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite at hirify.global headquarters. Monday–Thursday, 5:30am–3:30pm, with flexibility for extended hours, weekends, and varied shifts.

Base pay: $30–$40 USD per hour in California.

What you will do

• Test Rutherford rocket engines and support the propulsion production organization.
• Perform high-pressure pneumatic operations using GN2 and helium.
• Set up and operate data acquisition and instrumentation systems, including FlexLogger and LabView.
• Troubleshoot and repair valves, regulators, pressure relief valves, pressure transducers, and check valves.
• Conduct hydrostatic testing and handle LN2 and other cryogenic components.
• Generate non-conformance reports and improve 5S practices in the work area.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in high-pressure operations.
• Experience with data acquisition and instrumentation systems such as FlexLogger and LabView.
• Hands-on experience with valves, regulators, pressure relief valves, pressure transducers, and check valves.
• Experience handling LN2 and cryogenic components during testing.
• Ability to stand and walk for 8+ hours, climb ladders, work at elevated heights and in tight spaces, and perform repetitive physical movements.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. For US office roles, candidates must meet applicable ITAR authorization requirements, including US citizenship, lawful permanent residence, qualifying refugee or asylum status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.

Nice to have

• 8+ years of mechanical assembly or mechanical fitting experience.
• Experience with torquing, safety or lock-wire installation, work-instruction assembly, proof testing, leak testing, and environmental testing.
• A&P, trade, or industry certification.
• Experience with in-space testing and knowledge of manufacturing processes and continued product development.
