Maintenance Mechanic - (3rd shift, Sun. - Thurs. 10:20 p.m. - 6:20 a.m.) - Fort Madison, IA

Location: Fort Madison, Iowa, United States; office/site only. Third shift: Sunday through Thursday, 10:20 p.m. to 6:20 a.m.

What you will do

• Perform preventive electrical and mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and alterations on industrial equipment.
• Maintain electrical boxes, wiring, hydraulic and lubrication systems, molding machinery, machine tools, lifting equipment, and fixtures.
• Document maintenance findings, inspections, repairs, installations, and corrective actions in work order and log systems.
• Interpret prints, drawings, sketches, and diagrams to determine tools, materials, procedures, and corrective actions.
• Inspect and maintain chains, cables, shackles, lifting beams, and other lifting equipment for safe operation and compliance.
• Fabricate, weld, braze, and install piping or conduit while supporting a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience repairing electrical and mechanical equipment in an industrial environment.
• Proficiency in electrical and mechanical maintenance, technical print reading, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to obtain and maintain PIME, crane, forklift, and LOTO certifications.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform standing, bending, and kneeling for more than 8 hours per day.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Availability for overtime, up to 12-hour shifts, and off-day work is required.
